Why Earn a Graduate Add-on Licensure for Exceptional Needs: Mild Intervention?
Indiana has a great need for licensed teachers who are qualified to work with students with exceptional needs (mild interventions). The Exceptional Needs: Mild Intervention Graduate Add-on Licensure program offers a pathway for currently licensed teachers to qualify for special education licensure and help fulfill this significant demand.
Benefit from an Online Program Designed for Teachers
The Exceptional Needs: Mild Intervention Graduate Add-on Licensure is an 18-credit online program that prepares you to work with students who have been identified as having mild intervention needs. The online curriculum is designed to be flexible and convenient for teachers who are active in the classroom. This program includes fully online coursework with school-based field experiences.
This program aligns with Indiana Department of Education requirements for an add-on licensure in this area. It shares several courses with Indiana State’s Transition to Teaching: Special Education licensure program, which is designed for individuals with a bachelor’s degree but with no active teaching license, whereas this program is specifically designed for currently licensed teachers.
